The provincial government is committed to enhancing both Alberta's and Canada's competitiveness by capitalizing on new economic and environmental opportunities, while reducing the intensity of greenhouse emissions.
A major building block of this commitment is the comprehensive strategy developed by the Alberta Energy Research Institute, through consultations with various industry and government stakeholders. This strategy will help the province address environmental concerns while developing an integrated energy industry, focused on Alberta’s conventional and non-conventional resources
